Ok guys the truck bed is all done moving to the inside of the cab! Have some small things done but my question is do I want to install the new electric windshield wiper motor (which I got to order) or just go ahead and install my Vintage heater A/C which I do have first! Reason asking I am 68 yrs. old 54 inch shoulders 38 inch waist and I don't lay on my back so well anymore! Yes I am looking for an easier way to attack the problem?

Thanks Pops

hey Ben, the wiper will be much easier to work on without the heater in, and both better with the seat not in ... not that any of it will be "easy" smile

Definitely a two person job.
One to do all of the work and the other to retrieve all of the throwed tools.

Ben, remove the seat bottom. Get a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood and rip it lengthwise. Lay it across the cab floor and rest the outside end on a couple of concrete blocks. Makes a nice flat surface to lay on. You can even get a mattress from a baby crib to give you some cushion. Install the wiper motor and linkage before you do the Vintage air. You’ll be glad you did.🛠

LOL 52Carl yep! Thanks guys; after being knocked off my HD trike at 70mph being in a coma for 4 weeks my thinking and confidence has been rattled a little bit. I totally stripped the cab 16 yrs. ago so remembering how I took it apart has been a problem for me! Anyway moving forward now full guns blazing I want my truck done! Yes, I do step back every once in awhile to double check my work. Great comments and will proceed as suggested! Building this truck is my last hoorah for my son and grandson.

Great idea Mark. Actually my wife "the school teacher" and son got me one of those heated mat that keep your feet warm. I use it to lie on when working underneath the truck. Shop is warm but cement floor is colder than a well digger's rear end! I wrap it with an old bed quilt keeps my back warmer and a little softer! I will put it on the cab floor; can we say nice nap Ben!
