Thank You for info and apologize for posting on wrong thread , the small power supply for boosting to 12V sounds like a simple fix , is there a name for a power supply that you would suggest and where might I buy such a unit ?

Those are sold by many venders - check around for price.

Maybe someone has used on of these?
Says it will work with positive ground.

I didn't know they made one that runs on a positive ground but that is nice. The one similar to mine is listed on Ebay as a MWX Converter, item #113349267583. I found that with a search criteria "MWX converter 5V to 12 V".
