Does anyone know where I can get a pair of springs for the bench seat slider? I had the originals in a bag of hardware, but for the life of me can't find it to get new ones. These are the springs that connect from the seat frame to the cab mounted seat base. I also need the little spring for the adjuster handle.

I need a spring too. I just bought set of seat adjusters off eBay and they came with one spring. It measures 12 3/4" long. I've seen a few venders selling 1955-1980 Chevy truck bench seat return springs. The ads say they are 12" long. They might work. I can't find any venders that show 1948-1954 seat return springs for sale. I guess I'll take my one original spring to the hardware store and see if I can find a close match.

Have you accused your wife of moving them or throwing them out yet?
The only other way which I can locate lost parts is to buy new ones. The lost ones appear out of nowhere within days of receiving the new ones.
These springs are not high tech items. They don't do anything special. Take the one you have and go to some hardware stores. Heck, an oldtimey screen door spring could be cut to length and work for that job.
