Craig,
As per 52vff's comment above, model 1434 is a 1 ton. The 137" wheelbase is the quick way the identify it as being a 1 ton. The 3/4 ton had a slightly shorter wheelbase at 125".

Hey Craig, the serial number deciphered to either, but the model # was more specific. However it wasn't super easy to read in your picture, was it 1434? I'll be home tomorrow and can check again if it's different.
Is the motor original? I can check that out for you too.

1430 were 1 tons.
