[s][/s]I want to lower the rear end of my 46 Chevy pick up. I flipped the rear end and removed every other spring and left two upper springs and still need to lower it about three and one half inches. What should I do use lowering blocks or what? I had the springs de-arced and then re-arced because when I re-installed them they were almost flat. Not good.

Sounds like this tread needs to be in the HiPo section...maybe you need air bags to get it that low?

I would leave all the leaf springs in place and just get a 3" lowering block. keep it simple yet safe. look at my pictures to see how ti looks. that is what I did.

Chris (ndkid), looked at your pics on photobucket, the truck is beautiful. What color is that? I missed the pics of the rear lowering blocks but, whose are they and where did you get them? Are you on 16" rims? Your set up is one of the plans I have for my 46, really like the stance.

I did everything through Sid. Highly recommend him. He bent my front axle, new king pins, wedge for axle due to stance and 3” lowering blocks with new bolts. Very happy with stance and look. Rims are stock. Do yourself a favor, go 3” drop front and 3” blocks in back. Being this low causes many clearance issues. I keep hearing my exhaust rub on speed bumps. Pl me if you want pictures of any parts or clearances.

Thanks for compliments on the truck! My wife picked color. It is supposed to be sunburst orange, however, painter didn’t mix paint correctly and this color was the result. Needless to say, fired the painter, but kept the color!
