Yes the company was closed due to Dave's untimely passing. I was/am also interested in the 8 lug conversion kit and If I remember correctly the Hollister kit was set up to use a 2002 chevy 2500 HD rotors. Dave had sent me a shopping list for Rockauto for the other items I would need but unfortunately that list is no longer available.

Does anyone recall how thick the spacer ring he used was?

I want to say that it was something like 1 1/2" spacer. I know from my experience with trying to make the late model GM stuff work that seems about right.

If you use the narrow REAR rotors off of an 03 and newer GM van it helps the spacer situation.

Just FYI here's a link to the Toms Classics bracket. It says 55-59, but the 52-59 trucks all use the same spindle.

You can still use the kit. There is only slight differences in the spindle. The wheel hubs are actually the same, just different bearings. The 52-59 spindle is slightly taller and has a longer kingpin.

The brake mounting holes are in the same location relative to the spindle. You may have to drill out he holes. I believe the early ones were 7/16 and the later 1/2"

So I'd only need to drill out the mounting holes, and use stock bearings?
No shims?

Are the calipers, pads, & rotors readily available elsewhere for future servicing, or exclusive to the seller?

Check out post 82 from here.

DIY Brakes

Anyhow, I looked up the part number on the rotors. They are late model GM rear rotors that you can find on 2000 and newer trucks and 2003 and newer vans.

The calipers are 80's Chevy K10.

As far as bearings go. Your stock ones are all you'll be able to get.

Shimming, etc... Can't tell you. You may have to put an extra washer here or there to get things to line up. I don't believe they use a spacer.

Guys have been converting the Huck to Bendix brakes on these trucks for years. All that was required was drilling the holes out to 1/2" https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=953963

BTW- You'll need at least a 16" wheel.
