I'm working on this 46 for a few years now and just now getting around to test fitting the windshield. The windshield wasn't installed when I got the truck so I'm not sure how it is supposed to fit. After installing weather stripping into the windshield frame, does the weather stripping sit on top surface of cab or does it sit down in to the first step. I hope that makes since. When I tried to install the windshield, the weather stripping sits completely down inside the first step. The next problem is the outside edges of the windshield frame just touch the inside edge of first step and the top and bottom of the windshield frame has about a 1/2 in. space between the first step and top surface of cab. I could sure use some help. Thanks

The windshield to cab fit is not that exact to begin with. The total width of the frame is not adjustable, if you re-connect the 2 halves with the original connector plates and the center divider fits like its supposed to, your finished width is what you got and all you can adjust is centering the entire unit. As for upper and lower fit of the rubber to the cab, the edge of the rubber should sit on the outer cab surface and not into the first recess, however its not a great fit at best and don't expect a water tight seal.

I took my windshield out then removed the two v bars and found they had been replaced by po and they had the wrong angle so I changed the angle and window now fits much much better.
