My 55 Chevy 210 2door post -purchased 10 years ago had the hydraulic lifter 235. Fininished the car restoration 100 % original this past summer - complete pro rebuild to stock specs - on the 235 - I love 6's now forever!!!

Yanking an incorrect 307 v from my 64 truck to put in the 230 stock next!

Welcome John. There's a lot of stovebolt 6 fans here. So, is your '64 a half ton pickup? The person who put in the 307 probably thought he was doing an upgrade. The only upgrade you can do with a 307 is to take it out.

Yes, the 307 was seemingly a disgrace for the chevy V8 along with the later 1970s --262cuin

Welcome to the Stovebolt, John. Love the body style on the 64's. Let us know how we can help.

....love the 55's too. Had a couple in my day, wish I still had at least one!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I like the 262- - - -put a destroked 283 crankshaft in and turn it 8K RPM! I'm building one now. John, I'm just a little west of you, just above Huntsville on the Tennessee side of the state line.
