Bottom line: the ONLY way to figure this out is to email, call or visit your local DMV, explain your situation and have *them* tell you what to do. Document what they tell you (get names/phone numbers).
Good advice from John.

Also, say yes-sir/yes-ma'am regularly, and thank each person for their advice/assistance (remember their names, and use their names, Mr. ### and/or Ms. ###).

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

Thats some solid advise TC…… More of my generation should learn to address people that way. "Respect"….such a cleaver idea!

Told the person behind the counter that it is a firetruck, she said, it doesn't matter.
She issued the tags and a title came in the mail about two weeks later.
New title also said pickup.
This truck weighs just under 26,000 pounds without water in the tank.
How could that be a pickup?

Hey Don, its like the lady at the DMV said, " It doesn't matter". Come on man, its Missouri !

I know that a lot of problems can be caused by which DMV office you pick to use. Ours in Rolla has to be one of the worst. I had an issue with a formerly abandoned '53 Chevy 150 business coupe I tried to buy years ago. The seller had been to the DMV in Houston and was told what paperwork was required, which he passed to me when he sold it. I took said paperwork to the Rolla DMV and was told that they couldn't do that, that I didn't have the right information. I straight up asked them what they needed from me to make it work. The only response I received was that they can't do that and I don't have the right paperwork.

Yep..... zero help ANYWHERE. It just seems like the ladies working at the DMV have a bone to pick with the world. Very bitter and cold......can't imagine working at one of those places. So negative.
