Just recently joined and have been reading and learning and continuing to work on my 1959 Apache 3100. Tend to read more than post but I so far have been enjoying this knowledgeable forum.

Porsche, welcome to the Stovebolt Page. The quad headlight truck has always been a favorite of mine over the years. I'm sure you have much to contribute to the garage forums questions. We are here to help so don't be bashful and remember, there are not stupid questions here on the bolt. We all had to learn sometime/somewhere. Knowledge is the Best Resource!

EDIT: I was stationed in the UP of Michigan at K I Sawyer AFB in Gwinn/Marquette area. Loved it but the winter of 66 was the worst on record up to that time. Damned it was col.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Yes the UP does have some cold temps. I have had my Apache for 25 years and did most of the restoration in the late 1990's. I left it parked in my pole barn for 20 years and just pulled it out in Sept of this year. I have finished up many little projects on it, have it running like a top and am making plans for paint next summer. I did not work on it that interim due to two other auto projects but now the time is available and it seems like these trucks are hot right now.

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully you have a garage or workshop to work on it.

Yes I have a nicely equipped heated shop area in the pole barn. Today I painted the areas inacessable when the heater will be in place, and tidied up a few little areas.

welcome to the site! Sounds like a nice truck, especially since you have had it tucked away for that long!
