Does anyone know of a good mechanic in Houston, TX who I can trust to know how to do a ring and pinion swap in my 53 - 3100? I would like to bring the RPM's down when on the highway. I don't want to pay someone to learn at my expense.

Hey Mark, give Dave a call to see if he can steer you in the right direction. There is a fall swap meet scheduled for Nov 2 weekend in Conroe. Google it for details. There will be several rearend guys there that you can visit with and see if you guys can work something out. Good Luck

Pyle Brothers in Baytown can do it. They do lots of vintage stuff and did my Corvette rear diff recently.
