Sorry to hear that you lost your father in law. Things are happening so quickly it seems since I visited with you in January. All the best with Victoria's fight. I have always been told no one fights this thing alone, and it looks like you have a good team working your side. Wish things were better, and you were on your way to the west coast for a visit.

Alvin,

Wow, your wife's will is really being tested. Sorry to hear about your families loss. Take care of yourself, and know that there are folks just north of the border thinking about you all.

Paul

Update:
I haven't given an update since the end of July and I need to do this.
First Victoria and I want to Thank You yet again for your thoughts, prayers. phone calls and cards. She mentions them often.

Since July she has continued to be in and out of the hospital with each cycle of Chemo. She did get to stay home for 3 weeks because her "numbers" would not allow any more chemo at the time. Currently she just spent a week in hospital, coming home yesterday afternoon. Lab work tomorrow and perhaps a single chemo while at the Infusion center that only takes about an hour. We will continue from there. She has also had 3 or 6 chemo injections in her spine. We also had a "scare" a couple weeks ago but it all worked out.
Looking forward, we have one more round/cycle of chemo's and after that she will be referred to St. Francis in Greenville S.C. to be scheduled for a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant which will require us to be there for 3 to 4 weeks.
Over all she has amazed me...even this week. Sick for a couple days but still in good spirits and fired up today to go on a short grocery shopping trip of 20 minutes. (she is also finishing up the last bit of stuff from her fathers death)
With some luck she/we could be through with all this by the end of the year... If the end results are not good they are talking about the recent approved procedure. If I remember correctly it is called the T-cell procedure where they take a cell from her, "work on it, then put it back in". We are hoping that this will not be necessary. Determination will be made by another bone marrow biopsy after the chemo and bone marrow transplant.

Again, THANK YOU to everyone.
We also realize that some of our Bolter friends are going through some tough times and want you to know our prayers and thoughts are with you. We have not forgotten you.

I don't check into the 'bolt as often as I should these days Alvin but I just want you to know there are continued best wishes and prayers for Victoria (and you) from this side of the pond.
Keep fighting the good fight!
