Auto Investors is having a hard time trying to find out who they sold it to, they did however tell me that they did not sell it to anyone in Alabama, so that narrows it down to 49.

They also gave me the plate number from the previous owner, but I don't think that will help me?

I'm betting they know exactly who they sold that truck to.

So.......just an update. The place that sold my truck never got back with me in regards to the person or the state in which my truck is in. It's hard to believe that a business can not find out who they sold it to, sounds fishy. So now I am not too sure what to do other than surf EBay or Craigslist respectfully from time to time and hope I stumble across it. Totally bummed out.

Might be worth running the plate on the truck when you owned it . They may be able to do a history on the plate which would give you the vin number from the truck. From the vin number should be able to see If it was registered in your state.dont know much about the US DMV but they may also be able to checkmother states as well.

I have the Vin number, but our DMV doesn't give out that info unless you know someone that would do it on the side. Just disappointing that the business who sold my truck can't find or give me the info of the person they sold it to.

That business may be protecting the privacy of the new owner...they may not want to violate that trust.

Call your main DMV HQ and ask them if your VIN is still active in the State, they may be willing to give a Yes or No answer to that. Then at least you'll know where to continue looking!

In NC:

"Complete a North Carolina VIN check by visiting a nearby DMV office, or more conveniently, by conducting a VIN number search online."

Michigan:
https://www.dmv.com/mi/michigan/vehicle-history-reports

"Michigan allows you to complete a VIN number search by visiting a nearby DMV office, or as a more convenient option, by conducting a Vehicle Identification Number search online. Drivers can easily run VIN numbers and obtain car records as long as they have the VIN of the vehicle in question. A car history check is a detailed document that provides information about the history of any standard vehicle, as well as motorcycles and boats, for example."

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.
