Considering buying one of these batteries for my '49 3100. Any opinions from those who have used them are appreciated.

Sorry, Forty9 (and everyone else scratching their heads).

I was visiting my grand daughter and got distracted/mixed-up.

Pertronix 6v ignition

Optima 6v AGM battery

They often go on-sale in early winter, If I see the sale, I'll post info here.

Optimas are pretty pricey, that's why I was hoping someone had experience w/Duracell. Got a NAPA 7244 in her now, just over 4 years old and good service so far but...Saw an Optima for $125 last week, same site today $175. But will keep my eyes open.

I saw that. I'm leery because seller just joined eBay and has no feedback yet. I recently purchased an Optima for $110 and seller (not on eBay) promptly went out of business. Got my money back but... I'll just keep my eye out since no one as yet has had any feedback on the Duracell. Thanks

I'll contact you if I hear of the annual Optima 6v sale - looks like it was March/April for the past 3 years.

Most likely, you cannot wait for the sale.
