This just came up yesterday.
https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6215946640.html

Vicki and I will be in that area, This Saturday for a Thresher/Steam show.
Just say the word, PM me your number and I'll call you when I'm standing next to it.
Also take a lot more pictures and send them to you when I get home.
I bet we can knock off 20% of the asking price.

Don

I had to think a little on your accent and got the idea that, IF I buy it, you would pay half the cost.
Wait till I show Vicki this.
If you are serious, start checking in on shipping rates to get it down under.

Think I'll call on it now and will get back with you.

Just talked to the guy and will be meeting him about 1 pm central time tomorrow July 15th.
He also has several other old trucks and cars and knows about the Stovebolt page.
He said because of reading there, got him interested in old GM products.

I also know it's just after 3 am where you are at, and thought about calling you now.
But Karen, would probably not like that.

Tell her Vicki and I said Hi!

Went and looked at the Firetruck yesterday and It is in really good shape.
It is in the corner of the barn, so I could not get a real good look.
Could not find any rust and extremely low miles.
The foot pedal pads looked new.
The brake pedal would not move when I tried it reaching it, with my hand.
Overall a real good, solid truck.
We did not talk price but, I think he would come down some.

He also showed me a 56 1-1/2 ton. Another truck in great shape, and it will be for sale soon.
But it has a 350 in it.

PM me if anyone is interested and I can help you get one of them home.

Don

Don,

I guess that truck hasn't sold yet as the listing is still up.

Seems like all the neat trucks are in your backyard!

I don't need any more trucks, but if you ever see a 56/57 Tandem, I might have to come and visit...lol!

I bet you could get it for $5,000 or less now.

Let me know and I'll bring it to the Homecoming next spring, for you.
