Stovebolters, At long last, we've finally worked out (most of) the bugs with servers, bandwidth, forum software to have images posted in our forums. Just a few things to remember as we bring this capability on line over the next few hours: 1. Posted images are called "attachments" and will be limited in size to 300k. Anything bigger than that will get rejected. 2. Limit of 5 images per post. 3. Images/attachments are only enabled in the technical forums and the Swap Meet. Please read the full policy, guidelines and instructions herePlease be patient while I set the codes and the permissions. This could take a few hours to fully implement and there may be spotty performance in the meantime. Please hold all issues and questions for 24 hours while I get things set up. This is NOT a substitute for 3rd party image hosting (photobucket, snapfish, picasa, etc) so please curb your urge to upload your entire photo directory to my server -- that's not what this is for. Please take it easy on the moderators Thank you, John

Wow, thanks John
Let's see how long it takes to hear the moaning about how to adjust image sizes. It will be worth it.

Testing Works very good. I resized using MS paint The attached image was 436k as shown at very bottom of MS paint window Clicked on resize, dropped percentage 26% Clicked on save. After save it showed 293k at very bottom of MS paint window. (Images must be 300k or less to upload) (Max of 5 images per post) Uploaded with no problem. Completely painless Thanks,

I just posted a test picture in the 1 ton forum THANK YOU John and the crew! For the most part resizing is painless. This should be perfect for those quick head scratching moments when you need to ask what did I do wrong or here's how I did it, LOL. Thanks again.

Watch out for careful drivers!!! I'm away on an ego trip. Will be back on Feb 30. I'm not an Auto Mechanic, but I play one on TV. I charge $0.02 for every opinion and I take Paypal. Plan B is always better than plan A, by definition. "We have no time for comment, every man will make his own. LET IT BE MADE WITH POWDER AND BALL!!!" I recommend invoking MIL-T-FP41c when machining and fabricating I used to think beer was bad for me, so I gave up thinking. Sometimes no nonsense makes sense, in a sense. This is a very nice feature/enhancement to Stovebolt.com
What is the size limit in various fora?
I can sometimes post images larger than 300K and sometimes not.
Thanks,

Depends on which forum you are in and if you are logged in as the username by which you moderate (if you have multiple accounts...) Moderators get to post larger images ...
