Front Bed Panel Bolts

Just a curious question. On the front bed panel for a stock AD truck, do the nuts or bolt heads go on the outside of the bed? That is to say the 8 bolts that bolt the bed sides to the front panel. Obvious to me would be the bolt heads on the outside, but this area is somewhat obscured by the stake pocket and the inside of the bed is highly visible, and the outside does have the nuts from the threaded rod showing. Just curious how it was stock. TIA

My 59 had the nuts on the outside between the bed and cab.

Same here, on my 50 the heads are on the inside of the bed and the nuts are on the outside.
