The treatments are every 12 hours....and each treatment took 3-4 hours.
However, the Doxorubicin treatment drip was actually from 4pm yesterday until 4pm today.
She has had the Cyclophosphamide, the 15 minute short treatment of Vincristine, then the Doxorubicin I mentioned above. Then we have some Methrotreaxate and the cytarabine to go. She is getting a couple days break starting this afternoon. Then "cycle 2" will begin. Not exactly sure how many cycles are to be done but I do know they are going to give her more blood transfusions perhaps tomorrow.

Our daughter is a RN and currently staying 24/7 with her in the hospital for a week. She is very sharp and her husband, although not a "cancer doctor" is a surgeon and between them everything is checked, double checked and questioned. I just stand by in amazement. Along with this my sister in law has been doing this stuff for 60 years and 5 of her children, my nieces and nephews, are in the medical field and are close by, and watching closely.
However, thank you for your input and I will past the questions on to "the family crew" and doctors.

I could see a big change in her starting this afternoon. The worst is yet to come but we are dedicated to beating this or giving it our best.

Again, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Alvin, you and Victoria are in my thoughts and prayers. I have been fortunate so far with my fight with cancer. I have my three year Catscan coming up this Tuesday. I had very positive people treating me throughout the whole process, including the chemo people. It is a journey and it proceeds one day at a time. I wish the best for both of you.

Alvin, So sorry to hear about Victoria, this has got t be a hard row to hoe. Fortunately you have family in the medical field to keep an eye on things and explain what is really going on.

Our thoughts are with you and Victoria.
George

Alvin one of the best assets you have are family. You are very fortunate to have support from them and I in a way envy you. Sadly I have nobody. Just Carol and I and a bunch of animals. When she passes I will be coming home to nobody.

This is the only forum and post I'm checking into.
Update: Victoria is not doing well. No details at the moment but Chemo is stopped for now and she is in ICU getting dialysis and blood ect as of this afternoon and tomorrow. Doctor told me this morning the next 48 hours are critical and then the next 48 may well determine if she will still have a fighting chance.

Its an uphill batter but we have our climbing boots on. Thanks again to everyone for your comments/prayers and words of encouragement. I've had to put to rest mother/father and six brothers and sisters. There is no comparison to the way this one will be.
To all of you who have sent emails and PM's thank you. I will get to them as time will allow. Right now I'm with her day and night.

Sedgewick, my heart to you and your situation. L:fe will carry on but not the same. When my dad and mom died while I was still at a young age I thought my world had ended. But, as I was taught we must move forward...in our/your own time and way. God bless you in your trials....and yes, there is one watching and listening.
