Someone please confirm if I have this right. My '53 3100 has a '60 261 in it but it has a stomp starter, so I can't use a remote starter with red and black clips, right? So how can I check the compression in the cylinders by myself? Thanks

Denny

AS Cletis says, put a pry bar between the firewall and the stomp starter mechanism above the starter. You should then be able to engage the starter. I checked my compression the same way. Just make sure you're in neutral and stay out of the fan.
