Also maybe a little late but might help others that are looking to make one of these. A mechanical contracting company that does welded pipe systems would be the best place to look for schd 80 pipe as that is were it is used most. Any decent sized company would probably have a fab shop with a stock of pipe they use to prefab system pieces.

Why not just buy a couple of HF engine stands and use the rotary heads for the rotisserie pivots? My brother did that with a 69 Roadrunner body, which was a lot longer and heavier than a stovebolt cab. He connected the two uprights with pieces of 2" x 1/4" angle iron and did a LOT of restoration work with it with no issues at all.
