I search the forum and could not find an answer. I have a 3/4 ton with title that has been painted fiberglass running boards and has small block in it. I can't seem to find the vin plate on the truck anywhere. Did it have one? If so, where? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

Open the right-hand side of the hood. On the cowl there should be a tag with the body number and GVW. It is attached with a couple of clutch head screws. After 70 years, some of them are hard to read.

Let me know if you want a closeup. I will take one of mine if you need it. By the way they do make reproductions of these tags. Dave

Dave. That would be great. I got an after market one that I will have engraved and I'd like to be 100% sure where to put it.
