I just picked up a 1972 Chevy stepside pickup. How popular are these trucks. Kind of rough shape.

Not near as popular as the SWB model. There were a lot of them made and they are not that rare. Hey if you like it, that is what's important. Fix it up to your liking and have some fun.

While it may not be "rare" there are some advantages to owning a little later model vehicle. Its 12 volt, will readily accept a V8 or a 6 cylinder and you can get most all parts from a local parts house.........just saying.

...I've had a 69 and a 71 along the way. Both good trucks. I think the fleetside bed may be a little more popular but as Martin says, if you like it its just right for you. We all have many favorites!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
