When I received my '54 3800 it had stake sides and a grain lift back attached to the bed rails. However, tt came with the original tailgate. What parts are used to reattach the tailgate? It is a rod with bolts? I can't figure out what was used or where I can get these parts. Right now it's just holding on by the two chains. Thanks!

Thanks for the help!! Funny story. This truck came with everything, the original owner (only owner other than myself) took real care of it. So after you posted those I went and purchased them. I had some time on my hands and was doing a really good cleaning on the interior. I was taking out all the little things the guy had inside the glovebox and as my hand let go I noticed those two 'hinges' fall to the seat!! I should've known he would have had them!!! Just should've looked harder! Hahaha

That's a great story! I'm working towards putting my 54' 3600 back together and its been interesting to say the least. It sounds like you've got an "original" 54'. Any pictures of the interior that you would want to share would be greatly appreciated. Good luck with that tailgate !

It really is 100% original! A real neat piece. I need to get a photo album up on one of these websites. When I do, I'll post a link.
