Stovebolt is pleased to support the Salvation Army! We're doing fine but many around the World are not. Instead of making a contribution to us this holiday season, how about making your contribution to a great organization with a long history of helping people in need around the world?

Boy oh boy, what a big turn of events lately! Howdy all! I haven't posted in way too long. I still have the good ole 38 I'm doing the full restoration to, I have a shop locally that soon as I have enough money saved I'm going to get it to them and they'll finish detailing the body work on the pickup, get it all dry fitted, painted, custom interior work on the inside and make it very old classy with some new classy touches here and there. But trying to keep it all original metal, gauges, engine, trans, bed, wood, seat, gas tank, etc. Big events going on lately is I just became a Dad! Our three month old little girl now already is just so amazing! I'm still geared towards getting the 38 done just priorities got switched around lately with family. I'm working on my Great-Grandpa's 56 3200 Long Bed Chevy Pickup for a daily driver to work and town. That has been fun, I'll post some pictures of it when I get the chance. Just wanted to say hello real quick, let you all know I'm still here!!! Take care everyone! I'll keep posting as often as I can...

Congrats on the daughter! You'll get back to the truck in due time, but first things first.

Hello all Stovebolters! It has been a wild time since I last wrote way back! I am still ongoing in pursuing the 1938 Chevy. We pulled it out of the container we have been storing it in and everything was as we left it a year ago! Right now it is getting all the body work done at an amazing shop that does classics and hot rods! Awesome group of guys that are so very detailed which is much appreciated! Hope to have pictures and an update soon! Have an awesome day!

Hey Achipmunk! We'll be getting the pictures out as soon as we get them! Man, we decided to go with a two tone color, pearl/metallic. I'll save the colors for the pictures we'll get! The first shop did a so-so job on the metal work. The guys I have it at now are going through this pickup metal making it near flawless! This is the only pickup we'll do this much of an restoration on. The 53, 56, 86, and 87 Chevy's will get their chance down the road!

Howdy all! It sure is a crazy time for us right now in the middle of moving to Minnesota! Trying to get everything done and sorted through in this whole process! News on the pickup is the shop in Reno has completed all the works on the body. Block sanding, removing more bondo, block sanding, dry fitting, repairs, removing fiberglass replacing with metal, and primed the whole pickup! The pickup is ready to paint! We're just finishing up a few bills first before we give the green light on the painting! We are able to leave the pickup here till it's done 100%. Crazy days right now for the next couple months, hopefully be moved by May.

I'm been doing a lot of looking and researching, and I have decided to put a 261 engine in the Chevrolet even though I had done some work on the 216. With all the information that I gathered, it seemed to be a much better/stronger engine that has a lot of upgrades that make that engine more desirable. I bought one not too long ago with just 31k miles on it, will have it gone through and get it installed with some necessary modifications! Coming along though, still very busy and tied up with the whole moving so things are slowed down a bit but my mind is still churning!
