Time to start thinking about the signature Fall event for the ODSS -- The Tri-State Antique Truck Show in Winchester, VA Most of us arrive throughout the day on Thursday and stay through Sunday morning. Accommodations are mainly camp out, but there is a motel or two fairly close to the fairgrounds. Lots of fun and we always have a good time, rain or shine. And we would love to have the Norfolk crew join us this year!

Sir, I will arrive Friday 25 Sep o/a 15:00hrs, staying at Fairfield Inn (540-665-8881)($88.81/night taxes included. Hopefully, you could possibly shoot some pics for a ODSS 2016 calendar. Why? Arriving solo, quick trip, many committments prior and after the Tri-State Show. Thanks John. V/r, Nick

The registration form looks to be for people wanting to display their trucks - can truckless folks show up and wander through, or is there a different form? I'm looking at the calendar to see if I can make it. -Kevin

Kevin,
Sure -- the show is open to spectators and no preregistration. They just ask for a small donation at the gate which goes to a food bank.
Once you get there, just look for us. We won't be hard to find. If we aren't with the trucks (easiest one to spot will be either Mike B's firebolt or Billy Marlow's '46 COE that's Corvette yellow and Saturn Blue (or something like that)), we will be in Camp Stovebolt which is the closest group of campers to the South Entrance (Show Truck entrance/exit). See you there!

I'm in too! Come heck or high water ( think we experienced that in '09) with my Saturn blue cabover!!! Kevin, it's a very fun, laid back kind of show. I think they broke a record for spectators last year. If you feel like staying the night, plenty of room to pitch a tent or bring a camper. No show truck needed to come and have fun.

I'm planning on coming. Got to work on a little overheating issue, but maybe without the ICM (ice cream machine) i will be ok. Runs better though after the Sweet treatment. Should be fun!!

"ICM"-I like that. Sounds like some sort of weaponry or maybe a Stovebolt computer chip of some kind. Speaking of, I had a few bites of left over peach just last night.....
