Hello! New stovebolt member here. After 10+ years of searching I finally found my 51 Chevy 3100 5 window! My question is that it came with a Omaha standard box complete with all accessories, pins and bolts. The previous owner says that it was installed by Omaha standard before the truck came home from the dealer in 51. I have been trying to find an appropriate value on it and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of this. I'm not sure if I want to sell/keep it yet.... It looks awesome but makes it hard to see while driving and I plan on driving this truck..... A lot and would hate to see it fall apart with everyday use. It has the original paint, pin stripes and metal/painted

Omaha standard signs in all the right places. Any help would be appreciated!

I couldn't link to pics. Anybody else having that problem? I would really like to see the box.

A very nice original truck. Now I know what an Omaha Box looks like. Pin stripes even. Very cool. You could clean it without removing the finish and spray it with a clear coat to preserve the look. If it was mine I'd keep it even if only to use it occasionally. Like a parade. LOL. I also notice the truck has a stout side mount spare tire carrier and a very well made utility rear bumper. Awesome! How ever you redo the truck, Good Luck with it.

Omaha Standard boxes were very common on 2 tons to haul grain from the field to the elevator. I saw a lot of them in the60's and 70's when I hauled grain. However, this setup for a pickup is a real rarity. Since it is so rare, there is no established market. I'm sue someone somewhere would like to have it. Shipping will be a problem.
