Been workin' in the barn every day 12-14 hours but I pulled the plug last night as the temps were dropping like a rock. Went from 35F in the morning down to single digits when I came in for supper bout 7 O'clock. -2F right now, wind chill's -19F and in that drafty horse barn there's plenty of wind blowin' thru ever crack and crevice. That new double barrel wood burner has been taking the chill off enough that I could work without gloves but it tain't gonna keep up with this kind of cold. Clint Youle is talkin' bout 5" of the white stuff over night, gotta get out and get milk and bread, get some milk and bread, get the milk and bread!!! So-----looks like I'm gonna hunker down and be turning my attention to the man cave down below the living space. Got a ton of projects that've been on the back burner since last Spring. I hear you Denny. The -7F on the way to work this morning was a nice reminder that we are still in winter. I'm actually hoping for copious amounts of white stuff so I can ride my snowmobile.

Hang in there Denny. Jerry Taft on Channel 7 said we could be back up around 40 by the end of next week.

Our low here is supposed to be about 9 on Thursday. And it's not like the wind ever stops here. So I guess I'll put the bike up for the day so I don't lose any fingers or toes.

Haven't had the Harley out in 3 months. Guess I'm getting too soft. Just can't ride at 9 degrees anymore.

Hey Ron, we've put up with this for three quarters of a century, what's one more winter. Beats the heck out of sweltering in the heat of the desert or swampin' down south nine months of the year just to have a few days of mild winter. I for one like the change of climate even if we do have a few days of extreme at either end. Heck, I even had a good time clearing the 3" snow we got the other night cuz I got to use my new FEL. But I am gonna put some time in on the drawing board designing my heated cab for next winter. And, as I said, lots of projects waiting for attention downstairs in the cozy warmth of my man cave. Only ten weeks left till spring, at my age that goes by in the blink of an eye. Denny G

Since it's so much fun for you, Denny, I'm willing to let any snow scheduled for us this year fall on your place instead. Dang, I'm in a generous mood this morning.
