I always wrap up a tool. This year I was involved in two different white elephant gift exchanges and gave tools both times. For one I wrapped up a new propane torch set and the other I gave an electric staple gun. Both were big hits.

Anybody else give tools at these exchanges?

John

Does an electric bug zapper tennis racket count?

jewelers files, gave a set away this year. Every one can use them and you can get them at those barrel sales.

I attend a couple Chinese gift auctions and always give decent tool gifts..and sometimes I even end up with my own gift. smile

....also bought my 14 year old grandson his very own tool box this year and stocked it with some "essential" tools. Man was he ever happy.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I nearly started a fight this year by bringing a clock made from an original Art Deco hubcap with a speedometer needle for a second hand. I ended up with it, and ended up giving it to the host of the party, parts-thieving 52Mark.

My son was dragged to a party where his wife works. Microsoft.
First gift on the white elephant was a bottle of wine, second was a wool scarf. Then, somebody picked his and opened it. A Red Ryder BB gun. They went nuts. Every body wanted it. There were about 20 people there, and the each took the rifle away from the previous owner.
