Driving my 2012 Terrain home last night from work the roads suddenly turned to ice and a Jeep Liberty lost control and crossed into my lane and i hit it broadside, wiped out the right front of the Terrain and and broke the windshield. all the air bags deployed but not in slow motion like on TV. i was not going fast because i had just past a car upside down on the edge of the road. I am ok but sore and tired did not sleep well. Now have to decide what to do if i have to get a new car. this one was to be my retirement car only 19,000 miles after 2 years. the people that i had to report to kept wishing me a Merry Christmas. frown

Merry Christmas Ron.

Bummer especially at this time of year. Glad to hear you're ok.
My little sis likes her Equinox which she's had about as long
as it sounds like you've had yours. I know what ya mean about
it being your retirement car. My "big old wife" finally
talked me into getting 'my retirement car', even though I've
been retired for nearly ten years now. My Silverado is the
last one I'll be getting, and it'll have to last 28 more
years. Think I'll just keep it in the garage when the roads
turn icy.

Hope things get better for you the rest of the year,
and really------try to have a merry Christmas.

That's not a nice Christmas gift, but at least you're okay. Metal can be replaced.

On a sidenote, the Jeep Liberty is the most dangerous vehicle I've driven in the winter, I would never own one. A family friend had one that I drove rather often. Even with really good tires, the thing would want to swap ends as soon as you hit ice.

Glad you're okay, Ron. Those airbags sure do deploy quickly. My dad once got two black eyes because they him him so hard and he was wearing glasses. If you like the Terrain so much, just get another one. The insurance companies are quick to write off anything with more than minor damage.

Ron,
glad to hear you are all right. I hope that you can get a decent replacement although a new car would be even more advanced. I rented a Liberty once and they are pretty terrible on slippery surfaces.

Ron, your OK and that is the main thing here. Count your blessings and move forward....except when backing out of the garage smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

My wife used to carpool with a gal that had 2 different Libertys. She was afraid every time she had to ride in them in the winter.
