Howdy all, I'm going to be putting a TH350 trans in my '65. Was wondering if the stock crossmember with stock e-brake will work with the TH350 trans? Thanks for any help.

What's in it now?

did it have a powerglide in it before or a manual trans.
if you are just talking about the emerg crossmember by itself, not it is not strong enough. if it had the powerglide crossmember in it then it is quite adequate and the emerg brake does connect unto it.
I do have the stock a/trans crossmember

It had a powerglide in it behind a 305,,,pretty sure the 305 wasn't stock in this truck. Not really sure what came in it from the factory though.

305 was 1st introduced in 1976 if I remember right. 283 or 327 would have been period correct v8's

Been using a stock one from a three speed manual with a turbo 350 300 hp 327 (recently installed a new 350) for 17 years now,not ruñing a E brake.

this doesn't make sense. there was no rear trans mount on the orig 3 speed manual. the rear mounts would have been on the bell housing

you may have to move that crossmember a bit if the mount doesnt line up. there were several different lengths of tail housings on a T350. you would have to remove the rivets to the frame, drill new holes and bolt it in.

Yes that is what i was refering to,has held up to a lot of abuse,may build one this winter.
