Hope I'm not hijacking anyone's post. Just recently joined the Bolt. Back story: I own a 1950 chevy 3100 that was gifted to my by my uncle. He bought the truck new in May 1951, used it as a daily driver until 1975, then only on the farm until he gave it to me somewhere around 2000. We have had the engine (216) rebuilt, the body repainted (Forest Green as original), inside the cab repainted as original, new upholstery as original, and are working on getting all the rest of the truck put back together. My intention is to have the truck as original as possible. The truck was amazingly rust-free, with only a minimum of body damage (both righthand fenders had to be replaced). There is not a speck of bondo anywhere on the truck. I am looking forward to being a member of the forums---I already have garnered some good information from reading post in here, and will be glad to share any of my limited knowledge if it will be helpful in the future.
