From Monsey:

This is my 1962 GMC 1/2-ton pickup [ driver's side view ] . I bought it about a year ago. My neighbor had a friend who had her for 16 years. He told me about it and emphasized that the truck was pink. He told me that it had the original 305 V6. I just knew he was mistaken as I had never heard of that before.

Well, it took about two months before we could all meet up and get out to see this beautiful truck. When we turned the corner, I looked at my wife and told her "You know we are taking this truck home, right?" I was expecting a Barbie pink but that was not the case. [ Interior pix ]

It is the original 305 V6, with a Muncie 3speed, and Hurst shifter. All the glass was intact. The parking lenses had been replaced with tinted plexie glass. The bed had been replaced with some kind of diamond plate. There were a couple of primer spots and a few spots in the hood where the clear coat was peeling off.

The wiring under the dash has been ravaged and will need to be completely replaced. At some point in time, there was an after-market turn signal added and it has fried a couple of wires. So the blinkers, tail and brake lights do not work.

I have gotten many ideas from this site and look forward to getting answers from the forums.

Thank you for all you do.
