From Steve:

Here are some photos of my 1959 Chevy Apache 3100 Fleetisde with power disc front brakes, air conditioning, power steering, '69 Camaro rear end, 5.3 liter Vortec engine (stock), Mar-K wood bed pieces (unpolished stainless).

I purchased this truck in 1989. The original owner's last name was Wilson. His son purchased it from his Dad and his name was Wilson. I was the next buyer of record and my name is Wilson.

The truck was a farm truck and had never been wrecked or painted. After 16 years of blood, sweat and tears, she is on the road!

Thanks for the opportunity to show it to you.

The truck inspiration actually came from a friend of mine (Rick Oquinn of Perryton, Texas) when we were in our early 20's. He had one just like the one here. So when I wanted to build one, I called him and he actually located it for me. We see each other at the "Good Guys Lone Star Nationals" every fall and continue to be good friends.

I started watching your site when I was deep in my project and so enjoyed the photos of all the trucks and some of the stories like mine. You really fill a void in our hobby. Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Steve Wilson
