From Will:

The reason I bought this truck was because I needed the rear fenders for the '41 pickup I'm restoring. I found out that for the price of steel fenders from a junk yard, it wouldn't cost but a few hundred bucks more and I could buy another whole truck! Also, I could rob a few other parts off of it I needed.

After I trailered it home from a field in Spavinaw, Oklahoma (about 80 miles from home -- Jenks, OK) I realized how complete this truck was. It was all there, plus, it had a bed full of extra parts including two grills. I tinkered around with its updated 235 engine and got it running. Well, I just couldn't force myself to part it out -- it just wouldn't be right.

So, I'm looking at other sources for parts and as for this old '46, I guess its new destiny is to be fixed up and driven. My plans right now are to fix the frozen tranny (keeping the 235), do a disc brake swap, add new custom aluminum wheels, do minor rust repair on the body and put it in black oxide primer for awhile.
