From Dale :

This is Hillbilly DeluX -- HD for short. He is a 1950 Chevy 3600, all original stock condition.

This truck originally came from a farmer in Oklahoma who had him for 55 years (bought him new). He finally sold HD to a family on a nearby farm. He told them he made a little money over what he paid for him new back in 1950. The second owners had HD for about a year but didn't do much with him.

My Father was working in the area and saw the old truck sitting in this front yard. He popped-off and asked what they wanted for it (and it was cheap!). He called me about it as soon as he could. I was there the next day with a check.

I polished HD, worked the brakes over, got the seat refinished, and replaced a few other parts. Other than that, I haven't had to do much at all.

The original 216 engine runs like a top. The picture above shows HD at the Bass Pro car show in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma .... where I live. He had to compete with street rods in this show, so he didn't do very well as far as awards.

Thanks for the opportunity to show-off HD. We have a lot of fun with him.
