From Andy :

I just bought this jewel as a Christmas present to myself. We don't have kids and my wife is doing a fine job of raising me.

I have 60% of the body parts removed that will need to be replaced. [ side view image ]

I've got a 1978 Chevy 3/4-ton with a Dana 60 rear axle and a 10 bolt Dana front axle. The front axle seems to measure the same as my 63's.

The rear axle is about 2 3/4 inches wider on the '78, would you all suggest modifying the frame and shackles or re-welding the spring mount plates on the axle?

I am also thinking of replacing the split jack shaft transfer case with a mated NP204 and a 4 speed Muncie. I like the idea of power steering and power brakes but the conversion kits are outrageou$ !!!

Love yer site. Look forward to learning more for "Project Tank Wy"

Take care,

Andrew
