From Karl:

This is my 1954 3100 pickup I bought in January of 2004. I'm working to restore it. I think I've spent my son's first year of college money on it and at some point, I'll have tell my wife.

I did a frame off. Installed IFS with dropped spindles, disk brakes, power rack, 10 bolt Chevy rear end and new leaf spring kit from CPP in Buena Park, Ca. Also installed a bed mounted gas tank. Bead blasted and powder coated the frame and bead blasted the body. Filled the firewall holes. Installed an "Ididit" steering column and a new roll pan with lights.

The truck is setup with a crate 350/350 and A/C.

When I bought it, I just wanted a reliable daily driver. Now I'm caught in restoration hell and loving / hating every minute of it. Some days are better than others. Just took it out for the maiden voyage.

I'll send more pictures once it's complete.

Wow, Karl -- for some of our Bolters, this is as "complete" as it'll get :) ~~ Editor
