From Cory:

Here are some pictures on the work I've done on my '70 since I first sent it in to the Gallery.  I did all the work in May, but hadn't gotten around to sending in an update, so here it is.

I started out with a new radiator, gauges, tach, cap and rotor, plugs and wires.  From there, I went ahead and put on an Edelbrock 600 carb and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, exhaust, and a fresh coat of paint under the hood.

After that, I put a set of Daytona wheels from Pacer, and a set of Uniroyal Liberators.

That's all I have planned for it right now. It runs awesome and has become my daily driver (I sold my Blazer to finance this project).  In a few years, I'll start in on the body and find a new daily driver.

The website's great. Keep up the good work.

From Cory:

Here are pictures of my newly-acquired '70 1/2-ton, which I mentioned in my '59 Chevy Shortbed Stepside submission. The truck has never been repainted and has the original Black / Hugger-Orange paint job.

The original 400 small-block has been replaced with a 350 (the 400 small-block was first available in '70, as far as I know). It still has the original Turbo 400 tranny.

The only plans for now involve a tune-up, gauge set, tach, fluid changes and tires. I plan to do a complete restoration whenever I graduate from college -- which is about four years or so.

Oh yeah, it only cost me $500 and it runs as is pretty well!!!! Another $500 or so and it'll replace my Blazer as my daily driver. Probably won't get as much driving as my '59, though.

Keep up the good work with the website. We all appreciate at in my house (my Dad has a '59 GMC Shortbed Fleetside)!!
