From Mike:

This is my new toy -- a 1949 Chevy 6400.

I am a UPS driver in Plano, Tx. I have been looking at this truck for over two years. It was sitting in a field covered in trees and farm fencing. Finally, I decided to ask the owner if he wanted to sell it. He told me someone else was supposed to haul it off two years ago, but they never returned for it.

I asked him if he really wanted it gone, I would like it. "How about $75?" he said Of course, I couldn't say no.

The man told me that he used it in his excavation business from 1974 til 1996. It only has 7089 original miles! The engine and transmission were rebuilt in 1995 then used one more year before being parked in his pasture.

The field mice have had a ball with the interior and wiring, but I'm going to have a lot of fun with her. Keep up with her progress at my web site!

Thanks for having a great website that can help out a novice like me.
