From Willy :

Hi guys. Well, I sold my 1958 Chevy Stepside to a lady who fell in love with it. She pleaded with me to sell it to her. The good news, is I couldn't go for long without a Stovebolt. I found a 1959 Chevy Fleetside on eBay!

Cheers,

Kiwi Willy

From Willy :

I have a 1958 Chevy Apache. I am looking for a '58-59 Viking or COE (max GVW 7715 Lbs)  to buy for my trailer business here in New Zealand. I need to tow my display trailers to shows, etc. The reason for the max 7700 pounds is that any LHD vehicle imported into NZ over 25 years old does not have to be converted to RHD unless it is over 7750#.

I have a GM truck manual for 1958 that lists some models and one that caught my eye was a light duty forward control truck models 3C58, 3D58 and 3F58 with GVW's ranging from 5600 GVW to 7500GVW.

This truck here is basically stock apart from a 350 hooked up to the original 3 speed / overdrive and some chrome wheels. Other than that, I have been right through the whole driveline, suspension, brakes, etc. and reconditioned or renewed everything.

I use the truck daily as it's very reliable.
