From Martin:

Hello Stovebolters. I would like to show my 1956 Chevy 1/2-ton Stepside truck. I am from Denmark and I really enjoy your great site. I like the old Stovebolts and the great histories behind them. These trucks are not seen so often in Denmark. It´s really a head turner.

I got my truck in 2004. I bought it from a Danish guy who had done the chassis and painted the truck. He was getting tired of it. So I bought it and did the finishing job and got a set of license plates.

The truck is a shortbed with the small back window, stock front and rearend, a younger 305 cui v-8 and stock 3 speed manual transmission on the floor. The rear axle is 4.11 (I think). So that's one of my winter projects.

I am 28 years old. My wife and I were married last year and we drove my truck from the church. That's a day I will never forget.

I hope you like my truck and the pictures of it. It would be great to see a Danish truck on your site.

Thanks,

Martin Østergård
