A Cool Old Truck

Steve Moyers'

1941 Chevy 1/2-ton

15 June 2001

From Steve:

My 1941 Chevy 1/2 ton -- a barn yard basket case when I got it. Every thing has been replaced but the body sheet metal, frame, rear leaf springs, side window glass, and die cast frame around rear window. 385 small block (.040 over with cast Scat 400 crank), early Muncie with hydraulic Mcleod throwout bearing Kugel 90 degree swing pedals, solves the "where's the pedals and clutch linkage?"

List goes on but there's tubular axle up front from Butches Rod Shop, '49-'54 Chevy spindles with GM intermediate disc brakes under monoleafs. Vega box with Ford cross steering. Lincoln Versailles Ford 9" with 3:89 gears.
