Jay Merritt's 1957 Chevy 6500

        Here is my '57 Chevy 6500. I have had it for two years. I got it from a farmer in eastern Idaho.

        As far as I know it has worked every summer hauling something. And it still works. All emblems and parts are original. The motor has been changed to a 327 Chevy. It has a 2-speed rear end I have 7.5 x 20 inch tires on it. I have had almost 4-tons on it and it didn't squat a bit and in low gear, it moved the load great. The dash has never been cut into. I am looking for a factory radio and glove box door to finish the interior.

        I have a 14 foot flatbed on it loaded with broken concrete. It is a great workhorse.
