From Fred :

My truck is a 1953 Chevy 3100 model and at first glance, it looks like it still needs a lot of work. It's hard to believe I've owned this thing and been working on it for the last 20 years. I guess I've had too much fun driving it to ever take it out of service very long.

Anyway, it's powered by a 1957 235 c.i. engine. It has an S-10 5-speed and a 12-bolt rear end. It has a late model bed, front disk brakes and it's been switched to a 12-volt alternator electrical system.

The latest addition has been a home-made mini-HEI system that you can read about in the Tech Tips section.

I bought another cab and doors so I can start doing body work without a lot of down time. I'm telling myself I'm going to paint it one day. It may take another 20 years. Until then, I'll keep enjoying the "thumbs up" I get everywhere we drive.
