Joe Lopez's 1967 Chevy SWB Stepside

           This started out as a '67 Chevy SWB Stepside driver we bought in 1991. We kept it a nice driver until April 2004 when it was hit, causing some bent front end sheet metal and a bent frame. Chassis is a 1972 1/2-ton 5 lug, front disc brakes, original dual exhaust, 1972 Big Block motor mount stands, factory front sway bar. Powdercoated gloss black from front to rear.

• Rear mounted 16 gallon aluminum fuel tank is from Mark Fowler
• Moog pitman and idler arms with locally rebuilt power steering gear
• PST Front end rebuild kit (rubber)
• PST Trailing arm bushings (Poly)
• 4/6 suspension drop and rear frame fuel tank brace
• Rear end is a GM 12 Bolt, DTS 3.73, Posi, Moser axles
• Stainless Steel Brake Lines

           I have all of the original GM sheet metal necessary to complete the project except the steel cowl hood that I plan to purchase through Sherman Parts here in Michigan.

           The chassis is ready to go. We are currently working on the powertrain (427 BBC with a 350 auto trans). The cab is currently awaiting some rust repair on the frame mounts, floors and corners along with some minor modifications.

           I have included a few pictures. The red truck is what it looked like originally and the day of the wreck.
