My wife and I just purchased a 1961 GMC 4000 fire rescue
squad truck, it has a Gerstenslager Body. 
The truck was bought from a fire deptment. Not sure which one yet but we will find out. We just bought the truck and are excited so we are starting research right away.
It has a 351 V6. It is a one speed axle. The trans is a 5-speed overdrive.
I would like to upgrade the steering to power so if someone could steer us in the right direction of a conversion kit that would really help!
We bought the truck for use as a tow vehicle for our race team. We race 300 foot sand drags.
