From Mike :

I have owned this 1947 Advance Design Chevrolet pickup truck for about 25 years. It was my daily driver, but now, I just use it occasionally on weekends.

Since I have owned it, I have replaced the 216 with a 235 out of a 1956 pickup and put a later model tray on a few years ago. The wheels are from a 1965 truck.

The gearbox is 3 on the floor. I have a 4 speed muncie gearbox I would like to fit. Someone told me I could use the 4.11 diff housing and put a 3.55 diff head in the housing and convert it to open driveshaft to match the gearbox. If anybody has any advice on this it would be much appreciated.

I enjoy this web site!

All the best.

Mike
