From Arnie :

We found our dream truck. I looked for four years for a pickup truck like the one I drove when I was in the Air Force, in 1966. When I was just about to give up, we found it on eBay.

We purchased this blue Chevrolet C-10 pickup in Redding, California from the original owner's Grandson. It was on eBay and did not meet reserve. After some negotiations over the telephone, and more digital photos, we struck a deal and the truck was purchased.

Setting out in my Honda, we drove the 605 miles (one way) to Redding and made the purchase. From Redding, I drove it all the way to San Clemente, with my wife following in the Honda. We encountered no problems on the way home.

We have been enjoying the truck for three years. It is extremely reliable, plenty of power and torque, and looks good too.

It's a one owner truck, with 128,650 miles. The truck has had one engine rebuild and one re-paint in the original blue color. The interior is all original and in excellent condition. The seat is original vinyl that was covered the whole time of ownership. There are no tears or wear areas. The floor mat is original with no wear, due to being covered with floor mats. The dash is almost perfect, no extra holes or modifications. The bed wood has to be replaced which is the next thing to be done.

The original owner purchased the truck at John Geer Chevrolet Co. in Redding, CA. The dealership is now closed and gone.

The truck was used to tow a travel trailer. The owner worked for a logging company in Redding. He surveyed logging roads and forests for cutting. I have all the original documentation from the dealership in Redding. The owner recorded the oil changes on the door jamb of the driver's door.

We get lots of looks from people in San Clemente. They love the truck and so do we.

Regards,

Arnie Isherwood
