From Rob:
I would like to start out by saying “Thank you” to The Stovebolt Page. I found your site refreshing and a world of relief to find out that I was not alone.
I have loved this style of truck since I was ten or eleven years old. One day I saw a picture in an ad that read “make best offer.” My wife, knowing that I have wanted a truck like this for years, tells me to give a call and we will take a drive to go see it. I told her that if I saw it, she should know that it would be coming home with us. And it would be a money pit.
So after staring at it until it was raining and we were soaked, I bought it. The old girl sat in a field by herself for too long.
I hope your website can guide me through to restoring it back to the truck I see.
And when I’m done with the restore, I hope I can help others in need.
The last picture is after I got home and freed up the brakes and put the old truck on good tires.
Thanks,
Rob Hartley
