Ken Griggs'1970 Chevy C-10 Longbed |
18 May 02 Update
From Ken
Just wanted to post an update to the restore of my '70 Chevy and add a couple of new pics. I bought a 1969 C-10 parts truck which I managed to get a complete front clip both doors wiring harness and the complete a/c system. It is taking longer than I planned but im getting close. I'm about 75% done now.

From Ken:
Here is a pic of my 1970 Chevrolet C-10 longbed that has
a 350 4 speed setup.
I bought this truck from my father this past August on
the premise of restoring it. The work is finally about to begin in earnest.
I've already done the brakes and put in the new trans (had a three on the tree)
and drive shafts. I am about to make some upgrades to the engine such as electronic
ignition, a better cam, headers and a new intake and carb.
I'm not building a hot rod but I don't want to get beat
off the line by a rice rocket ether. I'm also planning on rewiring the whole
truck. I want to do all the mechanicals first since I do drive this truck a
lot. The interior and body work and paint will come after that.
I hope to have it finished in time for Christmas 2001,
but on my budget that might be a stretch.
Love your site and hope you'll post this ol' truck o' mine
soon.
Sincerely,
Ken Griggs

Hello!, just wanted to post an update to the restore of my 70 chevy and add a couple of new pics. I bought a 1969 c10 parts truck which I managed to get a complete front clip both doors wiring harness and the complete ac system. It is taking longer than I planed but I'm getting close I'm about 75 percent done now.
I attached two pics to show how it is looking now with the correct fenders hood and grill and one of the striped dash that I am adding the factory ac to.
